Under 11 boys win B Colton Cup
The under 11 boys made a very successful trip across the border to Emyvale on Saturday 5th September where they produced some excellent football against teams from Tyrone, Monaghan & Armagh to lift the B C Colton cup.
There were 26 teams involved in this well organised Tournament. Loughmacrory qualified out of their section to meet Truagh in the Quarter Final and after their closest contest of the day they emerged victorious on a score of Loughmacrory 0-6 Truagh 0-5. They then played Tullysaron of Armagh in the Semi-Final winning 0-8 to 0-3 and so set up a mouth watering all Tyrone final against parish neighbours Carrickmore.
In a closely contested first half the side ended level at four points each.
The Loughmacrory boys however dominated exchanges in the second period holding their opponents scoreless while tagging on a further five points to clinch the final and take home the Brendan Colton cup.
