Three in a row - nineteen to go.
The second match of the weekend saw the seniors entertained by St Malachy’s, Edendork. As in both previous games the opposition opened the scoring and went on to add a second before the strong wind on our backs blowing directly down the pitch began to pay dividends.
Again goals were the order of the day with Ciarán Ward and Damien McAleer each raising the oppositions green flag in the opening quarter. This laid the foundation for the second half where the breeze worked against us but despite scoring only once during the second period, Edendork could not restore parity in time to share the spoils.
