Friday 08 April 2005 LOUGHMACRORY 1 – 07 0 – 08 OMAGH New pitch sees first action. With Mickey McGee back from county duty Niall Kelly vacated his place in defence to replace Stevie Conway at corner forward who was unavailable through an off-the-field bovine altercation. The honour of first score on the new surface in official competition went to Omagh’s Justin McMahon but Gary Conway immediately restored parity and then through Ronan Ward the advantage was taken from the visitors and the Lough men never relinquished the lead for the remainder of the hour. John Gallagher again rattled the opposition net, this time at the end of a 100 metre run with a drive to the bottom corner. Niall Kelly took up a berth around midfield and counteracted Omagh’s Joe McMahon as overall the team held sway in most sectors. Leading by 1 - 05 to 0 - 03 at half time the path to victory was paved and the second half saw no resurgence from the visitors.
