……….home on the 12th of September. After a pulsating game we came out on top on a score line of of 0-9 to 1-5.  Next was a Championship semi-final in Dunmoyle with a very strongly fancied Dungannon side. This is a game that will live long in the memory of anyone whom attended. The game by half time seemed to be gone from us and we were 9 points down, indeed we conceded the first point of the second half to go 10 points down. But our young lads found the strength and courage to deliver the comeback of all come backs. We ran out the victors 3-13 to 2-12 and a Grade 1 County Championship final beckoned against Dromore. So on Sunday the 10th of October our U16s were the curtain raiser game before the county final. Towards the end of the game there were almost 10,000 people cheering us on. The game itself was one that we deserved to win on the day. The game ended in stalemate in a 1-11 to 0-14 point draw. But there were a number of very questionable refereeing decisions in the last 15 minutes of the game that brought Dromore back into the game. The replay was set for Saturday the 24th of October and it was just one of those days that we did not turn up, we missed a lot of scores and Dromore ran out the victors on that day. This team has huge potential and let’s hope that we can help them deliver on that potential in the years to come. Congratulations to Ryan Keenan, Padhraic Meenagh, Malachy Coyle and Stevie Conway on the excellent work done with these boys this year.

The U14s were taken by Conal Curran and Brian Donaghy They had a good solid year playing in grade 3. In the League they played 10 games winning 6 of them. They were beaten in the ¼ final of the League by a strong Eglish outfit. In the Championship the 14s were knocked out by a very capable Stewartstown team in the preliminary round by a single point. I extend my thanks to Conal and Brian for their efforts with this group.

The U13s this year were taken by Gary Conway and Patrick McCullagh. The U13s competed at Grade 2. This group of lads also gave a good account of themselves all year. They finished third in their group winning 4 of their 6 matches just narrowly missing out on a semi-final berth in the league. Thanks to Gary Conway and Patrick McCullagh for all their hard work with these boys this year.

The U12s were taken for 2015 Gary Conway and Patrick McCullagh. This group won the majority of their matches and competed well all year. I would like to especially thank this management team of Gary Conway and Patrick McCullagh for their efforts this year.

The U10s were this year guided by Shane McCullagh, John McElhom and John Kelly. There were a lot of training sessions for this group every Saturday morning and Wednesday evening. The team took part in Blitz’s every other Saturday through the summer and well into the autumn giving a great account of themselves all season. Highlights of the 10s season game in winning the Pomeroy tournament and reaching the final of the Carrikmore Tournament.  These were two excellent achievements and this bunch of young lads hold a lot of promise for us in the near future. Again I want to thank the management team for all their efforts with this group.

U8s had a good season under the tenure of Ciaran Meenagh and Marty McCrystal. They competed in numerous blitzes all year and were one of the best teams on show at all of
