Sean Donnelly

The committee, players and members of Loch Mhic Ruairí Naomh Treasa were saddened to hear this morning of  the passing of esteemed member and club stalwart Sean Donnelly. A well known and highly respected figure in GAA circles across the province Sean was one of the founding members of Loch Mhic Ruairí Noamh Treasa, served as a past chairman, referee, committee member and was a recipient of the  President’s Credo Award in recent times.

A renowned community activist, Sean’s strong faith and values were evident in his commitment and work on the local Council, in the Credit Union and in our national games and the Scór competition.Sean attained legendary status as a seller of Club lotto, and his children all represented the club with distinction on the playing field.

The condolences of the entire club are extended to his wife Ita, sons Shane and Eunan, daughters Tanya and Caoimhe and the extended Donnelly and Harte families at this difficult time.
