KILDRESS 0 - 06 1 - 13 LOUGHMACRORY
Seniors cruise to victory in Gortaclady
Loughmacrory prevailed over a Kildress side which gave little resistance to their dominance over the hour. The full back line of John Gallagher, Mickey McGee and Shane Donnelly were barely required for the hour as across the field the Wolfe Tones were second off the mark.
This seasons scorer in chief Ronan Ward who scored twice, his first point from a free kick off the ground in the first half and his second point from a forty-five in the second period, was overshadowed in the scoring stakes by his brother Enda (0 – 3), Connal Kelly (0 - 3), Gerard Donaghy (0 – 3) and Sean Paul Slane (1 – 0). These scores, along with points from Damien McAleer, Ciarán Meenagh and Brendan Ward, comfortably ensured both league points for the Lough to ease the pressure going into their final league outing which will be at home to Edendork.
Enda Ward who left the field injured will be out of action for a while but fortunately has not suffered another fracture which would have been his second of the year. The club wish him a speedy recovery.
