MOORTOWN 1 - 08 1 - 08 LOUGHMACRORY
Seniors remain level with Moortown in ACL 1B
Loughmacrory and Moortown shared the spoils in their mid table clash on Friday evening and both remain in contention for the divisional playoffs. Aidan Gordon captained the team Ciarán Meenagh’s absence and led Loughmacrory to a bright opening, going in with a 6 point lead by half time.
After the break, however, Moortown had the better of the exchanges and gradually pulled back the deficit before taking a 1 point lead. Gerard Donaghy then put Loughmacrory back on level terms with a fine point only to see Moortown take the lead once more. As the game drew to a close Moortown looked to have clinched the points it but was again Gerard Donaghy who stepped up and had last say when he leveled matters for the second time in the evening to claim a share of the points for the Lough.
