LOUGHMACRORY 1 - 05 1 - 05 MOY
The senior team shared the spoils with Moy in a low scoring encounter in Pairc An Locha today.
In a mirror image to the opening of Friday evening’s match with Strabane, Ronan Ward put Loughmacrory a goal up in the opening minute of the game when he won possession of a long ball into the danger area, turned and sank it to the Moy net. Corner back John Gallagher and Sean Paul Slane added points for the Lough while three pointed frees from Ryan Mellon was all the Moy could muster before the short whistle to leave the half time score Loughmacrory 1 – 02 Moy 0 – 03.
On the resumption Ronan Ward added a point for the Lough to put three between them before Mellon converted another free. A rather fortunate goal and a point from play saw Moy make a two point lead with only a few minutes remaining. However, as so often before, Ronan Ward was Loughmacrory’s saviour with two excellently executed frees, one from either sideline and both forty metres out from goal which drew the match level before referee blew the final whistle.
