LOUGHMACRORY 0 – 05 2 – 09 ERRIGAL CIARÁN
Errigal gained revenge for last year’s championship final defeat when they comfortably overcame reigning county U21 champions Loughmacrory in Pairc An Locha on Thursday evening. Loughmacrory could not come to terms with Errigal’s strong mid field pairing of John Devine and Dara McCullagh.
Despite playing into a strong breeze Loughmacrory held their own for most of the first half but failed to take their scores and went in at the break 0 - 01 to 0 - 06 down. Despite a good penalty save from Donal Ward and some good scores from Ciarán Ward, Shane Coyle and Ryan Keenan, Errigal had the better of the second half exchanges and ran out comfortable winners on a score of 2 - 09 to 0 - 06.
