In concluding with Youth Football I would like to thank all those who gave of their time to help coach and organize our Youth teams. Overall it was a very positive year on the underage scene with one County Title being secured as well as reaching another two finals. I would like to personally congratulate the U-16 side on capturing the league title. The performance of the younger teams at the Blitz and various Tournaments was also very encouraging and bodes well for the future. It is also worth noting that with the U-16 team winning the League this year that it is the fourth consecutive year that the Club has won an Underage County Title. Club Youth Officer Barry Mc Elduff deserves a special word of praise for his efficient organizing of all Youth Affairs during the year. Finally I would encourage as many people as possible to get involved with assisting our Youth teams in the year ahead as they are they future of our Club and we need to keep building on the good work that has already been done and hopefully we can now push on and get back to the level we were at in the mid nineties when all of our Underage teams competed in Grade 1. The ladies Senior team retained their status in Intermediate football in their first year back at this level after being promoted in 2008. The girls were also close to securing a place in the promotion play off only for a number of results to go against them at the end of the season. The U-14 team were successful in winning the league title and the U-16 team were unfortunate to lose out in the final of the Championship. The ladies Committee also deserve recognition for assisting whenever called upon throughout the year to carry out various duties. At this point I would like to congratulate Mickey Mc Gee for being involved with the Tyrone Senior Panel during the past year, which won the Ulster Senior Football Championship and reached the All Ireland Semi Final. The club also had a number of players involved in successful school teams and I would like to congratulate all these players on their achievements. 2009 saw the GAA celebrate it 125th Anniversary and each club had to host a Lá na gClub day to mark this occasion. Cumann Naomh Treasa held a weekend of events on 22nd and 23rd May. This included a GAA quiz as well as a commerative match involving the 1993 Junior Championship winning side against the 2001 Division 1B league winners. There was also a special introduction at half time during this game for members of the 1974 West Tyrone league winning side, and the victorious Junior Championship winning team of 1980 as well as founder members of the Club. A parade was also held Parade involving all current teams within the club from the old field to the new pitch, which was led by Paisté Na Fingréine Accordion band, which had reformed especially for the day. Over the duration of the weekend the Committee room hosted a display which depicted the Club since its formation right through to the present day. This was a very special occasion for all members of our club both young and old and it will live long in the memory of all those who witnessed it. It also involved a lot of hard work for all those associated in making it a success and I would like to say thanks to all those who put so much time and effort into making it such a memorable occasion.
