LOUGHMACRORY 1 - 12 1 - 09 GREENCASTLE
Under 16’s make it five wins in a row
The under 16 boys notched another league victory on Wednesday evening when they had three points to spare over the visiting Greencastle St Patrick’s. A first half goal from Connor Donnelly helped the home team go in level at half time at 1 – 03 apiece but the visitors came out after the break with all guns blazing and shot four points in the five minutes to move four clear. Cormac McGaughey settled the home side with a fine point after seven minutes but the St Patrick’s cancelled out this score two minutes later. It was almost mid way through the half before Loughmacrory eventually began to take control of the game and they hit eight points in the final quarter in reply to just two from the Greencastle boys to emerge comfortable winners.
