LOUGHMACRORY 3 - 12 2 - 13 GLENELLY
Under 21’s open with a win
The winning margin of two points scarcely reflects Loughmacrory’s superiority in this Under-21 match away to Glenelly as they had built up an eight points lead at the halfway stage and still maintained that margin with ten minutes to go.
Two first half goals from Daryl Kelly, one from a penalty, put the Lough boys well in command and when Cathal Donaghy added a third major before the break it looked as if the match was over as a contest.
Loughmacrory seemed to lose concentration however, and, in the final quarter Glenelly came back well banging home two goals of their own. As things turned out it only served to make the final scoreboard more balanced looking as the visitors held out for victory and now meet Gortin in the next game.
