LOUGHMACRORY 0 - 07 3 - 12 ERRIGAL CIARÁN
Seniors well beaten by Errigal Ciarán
The seniors were well beaten by Errigal Ciarán on Sunday in a one sided game which was virtually over as a contest at half time. Loughmacrory didn’t open their account until the final minute of the first half with a point from Sean Slane but by that time Errigal had registered a goal and 8.
Apart from a brief spell at the beginning of the second period when Ronan Ward knocked over three points in five minutes Loughmacrory never looked like troubling the visitors. That five minute spell was the only time in the game when Loughmacrory played with any kind of cohesion as for ling periods they looked to be out of their depth. Ten minutes into the second half Errigal banged home a penalty to take a nine point lead at 2 – 08 to 0 – 05 lead. They then registered another goal and four points in a four minute spell to put the result beyond doubt. Ronan Ward, who scored 6 of the home side’s 7 points, converted two frees as the game before the final whistle.
