St Teresa’s celebrate the 125th anniversary of the GAA with a nostalgic weekend’s of events looking back on the club’s thirty seven years history. Friday evening saw the opening of an Historic exhibition of photographs match reports and memorabilia in the clubrooms. Then the table quiz proved an very enjoyable as all patrons and friends showed a high degree of knowledge of GAA affairs and general knowledge with the Sperrin Viewers coming out on top to win four tickets to the Tyrone v Armagh match in Clones next Sunday. Then the 1992 Ulster winning ballad group rolled back the years as the treated us to a rendition of the songs they sang tok bring that first Ulstert Scor title to the club all those years ago.
Then on Saturday the sun came out just in time for a parade from the old field to the new filed led by Paisté Na Fingréine Accordion band which had reformed specially for the day. Their presence was a delight to all Loughmacrory people who remember the band at its peak over twenty years ago, After the parade which included all club teams boys and girls and adult as well as committee members and club followers made its way to the new field. There the boys and girls opened proceedings with two exhibitions games before the 1993 Junior Championship winning team took on the 2001 Division 1B winners in  an exciting game of football.
At Half time in this match BBC’s Gerard Donnelly introduced  Special Guests on the day the 1974 West Tyrone League Winners & 1980 Junior Champions Introduced to Crowd  and these, along with the club founders were presented with certificates by club chairman Martin Donaghy.
After enjoying a meal in the fine new hall patrons were treated to a Video showing club highlights over the years and the evening finished with musical entertainment in the hall.
