FINTONA 2 - 12 2 - 14 LOUGHMACRORY
U14’s Move Top
The U14's moved to the top of their section by beating Table Toppers Fintona at home on Saturday morning. In a pulsating game the Lough built up a nine point lead by half time playing with a strong wind. The highlight of the half was a thunderbolt of a goal from Niall Grimes.
Fintona responded well in the second half and drew level with 5 minutes to go. But the team dug deep and were able to knock another couple of points over to take the game. This was a hard fought contest played in good spirit. There were great performances from Diarmuid Grimes and Pearse Grimes in defence. In Midfield Niall and Kevin worked very hard throughout the 60 minutes. Up front Eamon Logue, PJ O’Donnell, Cathal Donaghy and Pauric Meenagh were the star performers.
The team face a tough test away to Trillick on Tuesday evening at 6.45pm. Anyone wanting to see a cracking good game should be there. All support would be very welcome!
