ERRIGAL CIARAN 2 - 07 1 - 10 LOUGHMACRORY
Reserves share the spoils in Dunmoyle
The reserves played out an exciting draw with Errigal Ciarán yesterday evening in Dunmoyle. Loughmacrory made all the early running but shot a few poor wides in the opening five minutes before racing into a four nil lead after 10 minutes, the scores coming from Daniel Fox (2) Karl Logue and Connal Kelly. Errigal then hit their first point and after a barren spell for both teams they struck for a goal to level matters after 20 minutes. They added another two minors in reply to a point from Ciarán Ward to hold a one point lead at the turn around at 1 – 03 to 0 – 05.
On the resumption of action Errigal continued from where they had left off racing into a six points lead with a goal and two points in the opening five minutes of the half. Gerard Donaghy settled Loughmacrory nerves with a well taken point and Eoin Harte followed suit immediately after. Errigal’s challenge had now waned somewhat and they could only muster another two points in the final twenty minutes while the Lough shot a goal and three points. First Stephen Grimes split the posts and then combined with Connal Kelly to send the latter through to rattle the Errigal net. The home side were still two to the good with three minutes left on the clock but Ciarán Ward coolly sent over two placed balls in the dying minutes to ensure a division off the spoils
