LOUGHMACRORY 1 - 05 1 - 12 ERRIGAL CIARÁN
Loughmacrory minors made their exit from the championship on Wednesday evening 19 May 2004 in Pairc an Locha when they went down to a well balanced Errigal side.
Despite missing a penalty in the first minute of the game Errigal soon found their feet and had raced into a four point lead before Gerard Donaghy opened Loughmacrory’s account with a point. Errigal dominated the second quarter and notched up a 1 - 08 to 0 - 02 half time lead, Loughmacrory’s second point coming from Niall Toner.
Loughmacrory began the second half brightly with Conor Dobbs and Gerard Donaghy registering two fine points and it was almost the three quarter stage before Errigal opened their second half account. When an Errigal defender failed to hold on to a high lob in from Gerard Donaghy the ball ended in the Errigal net to give the Lough boys a boost to make a final push. However Errigal had the final say with their second goal coming in injury time to leave the final score 2 - 12 to 1 - 05.
