LOUGHMACRORY 1 - 10     0 - 10  MOY

Five minute scoring burst sees seniors through against Moy

The seniors hit a goal and four points in a five minute spell at the end of the first half of this encounter to see them take two important league points which sees them keep in line for Senior football next year.
Visitors Moy had the better of the early exchanges, their midfield winning a lot of possession and putting the home defence under repeated bombardment. With Niall Kelly having a very sound game at full back they held firm however and it was three apiece at the end of the first quarter, Loughmacrory scores coming from Ronan Ward and Stephen Donaghy. Unfortunately at this stage Loughmacrory’s John Gallagher received a bad shoulder injury and the Moy doctor treated him on the field before he had to be taken to hospital. Moy then went a point ahead before the Lough boys hit that purple patch and from the twenty sixth till the thirtieth minute Ronan Ward pointed three frees, Ciarán Ward sent Raymond Ward through for the only goal of the match to put six points between the sides and on thirty minutes Sean Slane split the posts to leave the half time score 1 - 08 to 0 - 04.
Stephen Donaghy supplied Ronan Ward for his seventh point on the restart but the Tír Na Nóg came storming fight back into the game knocking over six points without reply to reduce the deficit to two. Loughmacrory finished strongly however and Emmott Donaghy set up Stephen Donaghy for the final score of the contest to restore  a three points lead which they held till the final whistle.
