LOUGHMACRORY 1 - 09 0- 07 GALBALLY
Good win for Reserves over Galbally
The reserves scored a five points victory over Galbally after the senior challenge on Sunday 25th February in Loughmacrory. Stephen Grimes opened the scoring with an early point and Daniel McCallan added two in as many minutes, the second after making a great block on the defender coming out with the ball. Stephen Grimes converted a free to put the Lough four nil up.
The Pearses finally found their range with a free and had made it 0 - 04 to 0 - 02 before Paul Donnelly registered a point and Brian McCrystal added two more, the second from 40 meters out on the wing and Galbally notched another on the stroke of half time to leave the score 0 - 07 to 0 - 03 at half time.
Pearse Donaghy pointed for Loughmacrory on the resumption and a minute later the same player took a pass from Daniel McCallan to set up Paul Donnelly for goal which put Loughmacrory seven points ahead. The visitors came strongly in the final quarter with a goal and four points but the cushion Loughmacrory had built up saw them through with Paul Donnelly adding a point to bring his tally over the hour to 1 - 02.
