Killeeshil 0 - 04 3 - 08 LOUGHMACRORY
Reserves finish league on high note
Although Killeeshil were first to score in this, the final reserve league game of the season, they played second fiddle to a much fitter and better Loughmacrory team from there to the finish only adding one more point before the break and could only muster a four points total by the end of the game. Visitors Loughmacrory had notched a convincing seven points lead at the break with Stephen Grimes opening their account in the third minute and Karl Logue, who was in fine scoring form throughout, sending over four excellent points in a prolific twelve minute spell. When Killeeshil did threaten Declan Harte, in the Loughmacrory goal, brought off a fine save to deny them a lifeline, and after Grimes had fisted over his second point before Shane Coyle was first to react to send a rebound all the way to the home net leaving the half time score 1 - 06 to 0 - 02.
The visitors continued to dominate after the restart Logue bringing his personal tally to five and Coyle sending over a minute later. Stephen Grimes then put the match beyond the reach of the St Mary’s with a well taken goal and Connal Kelly put the final icing on the cake with another major to give his side a 3 - 08 to 0 - 04 victory.
Things will certainly be a lot tougher for the St Teresa’s next Saturday when they line out against Errigal in the quarter final of the Championship
