LOUGHMACRORY 0 - 19 0 - 08 DRUMQUIN
Reserves cruise to victory against Wolfe Tones
The reserves scored a comprehensive win over Drumquin on Saturday evening with the two Stephens, Donaghy and Grimes, in top scoring form accounting for fifteen of Loughmacrory’s nineteen points over the hour.
Donaghy opened the scoring in the first minute and added another five in the first half with Grimes chipping in with three to leave the Lough leading by nine points to two at the break.
Daniel McCallan and Daniel Fox joined in the scoring on the resumption of play and by the three quarter way stage the home side had built up an unassailable ten points winning margin at 0 - 13 to 0 - 03. As the Lough eased off somewhat the visitors did eventually begin to make a game of it sending over three points in as many minutes midway through the half.
Donaghy and Grimes then returned to scoring duties in the last five minutes knocking over three in reply to one from the visitors helping their team to run out eleven points winners at 0 - 19 to 0 - 08.
