MOORTOWN 1 - 06 0 - 11 LOUGHMACRORY
Injury time points from Sean Paul Slane and Ciarán Ward secured victory for Loughmacrory on their visit to Moortown on Sunday. In a low scoring first half Moortown just edged ahead to take a one point lead at the turn around on a 0 - 04 to 0 - 03 scoreline, the evergreen Chris Lawn in his role as player manager, among the scorers.
Mickey McGee, in his a more unusual midfield berth was among Loughmacrory's second half scorers as the visitors surged into a four points lead with Stephen Donaghy, Ronan Ward, Damien McAleer and Sean Paul Slane all hitting the target.
As the game drew to a close The St Malachy’s came to life once again and levelled matters with a point and a goal in quick succession. It was a minute into injury time before Slane restored the visitors’ lead and Ciarán Ward had time to add and insurance point before the final whistle sounded.
