GALBALLY 0 - 12 1 - 07 LOUGHMACRORY
Galbally take their revenge
In a game which saw first Michael McGee and then Stephen Conway taken off due to injury the senior side could not carve out another two points to keep in contention with league leaders Galbally as they pull away.
After the hosts had fired over two points Sean Paul Slane opened the account with a pointed free from wide on the left. Quickly however Stephen Donaghy blasted the home net to take the lead. The Pearses began a slow comeback however at this early stage and despite being unable on several occasions to breach the stranglehold of Ryan Keenan on the goal they chipped over points with more ease than the visiting attack. With Ward brothers Ronan and Enda both switched out of position in the second period sufficient threat never materialised and by the time Stephen Conway had left the fray the fat lady was clearing her throat.
