LOUGHMACRORY 1 - 06 1 - 07 MOORTOWN
Reserves drop lead to give away league points
Although Connal Kelly had the ball in the Moortown net within fifty seconds of the throw in, the reserves failed to build on this excellent start, only raising one further flag during the first half to go in leading 1 - 01 to 0 - 02 at the break.
Kelly was first off the mark in the second period as well with a point in the opening minute, and when Joseph McCracken and Noel Kelly added further minors the home side looked to be on their way to wrapping up the first league points of the season. The lough shore men however then hit a purple patch notching a goal and two to level the game at 1 - 04 each by the three quarter stage. Although Sean Paul Harte then restored Loughmacrory’s lead with a fine effort it was the visitors who finished strongly, first levelling the affair at 1 - 06 apiece and notching the winner in the dying minutes of the game.
