KINAWLEY 2 - 05 0 - 11 LOUGHMACRORY
Seniors only take one point from Kinawley
Loughmacrory only managed to salvage a draw from this encounter played on a wet and slippery surface in Kinawley, a point for the visitors in injury time levelling the affair for the fourth time in the final ten minutes.
Loughmacrory opened brightly with captain Enda Ward in fine scoring form from both frees and from play. He and Gerard Donaghy had registered six points for the Tyrone team giving them a two point lead at 1 - 01 to 0 - 06 by the end of the first quarter. Loughmacrory dominated the final minutes of the opening half as first Damien McAleer, taking a quick ball from Shane Donnelly, shot a beautiful long range point from the right wing and then Benny Ward produced another fine effort to put the visitors into a comfortable four point lead at the half way stage 0 - 08 to 1 - 01, the home sides goal fortuitously coming from a long ball into the square.
The Fermanagh men opened the second period brightly however and had levelled the match with a goal and a point and then went one up by the three quarter way stage. Gerard Donaghy levelled matters once more and it was score for score as the teams were level on four occasions in the space of the last ten minutes, Loughmacrory notching the fourth leveller in injury time.
