St Teresa’s club held a youth presentation night in the hall on Thursday night (19ú January, 2006) for all the boys and girls who had played for Loughmacrory in 2005 from under 14 down. Chairman Paddy O’Brien welcomed all the children and their parents to the evening and thanked all the coaches and managers who had worked with the underage teams during the year.
There was a great excitement when county star Michael McGee arrived with the Sam Maguire cup in tow. Michael presented each child with a medal in recognition of their participation in Loughmacrory football. When the refreshments and tea were over Michael showed endless patience as he posed for photographs with each team. Photographer Jim Dunne from ‘Teamtalk’ them took some photographs of fans young and old with Sam Maguire central to each photograph.
The club would like to thank all who worked on the night providing tea and refreshments and it was great to see so many parents accompanying their children in the night.
