LOUGHMACRORY v EDENDORK (AT DUNGANNON)
Championship time comes round at last
Believe it or not it’s all of twelve months since Loughmacrory seniors saw championship action when they were knocked out of the 2004 race by Ardboe in Pomeroy.
However that will be put to rights next weekend when they face Edendork in the long awaited 2005 opener on Saturday 1st October at 4.00pm in Dungannon.
These two have met twice this year in the league and have shared the spoils so far with Loughmacrory getting the upper hand in Edendork in their first encounter. The St Malachy’s turned the tables however in the second meeting in Loughmacrory when they came down to Pairc an Locha and had eight points to spare over the home side winning by 0 -11 to 3 -10.
Of course when championship time comes around league form counts for little and the Lough boys will be hoping to progress to the next round.
