CLANN EIREANN (LURGAN) v LOUGHMACRORY
Seniors travel to beat Burnsy’s Clann Eireann, Lurgan
The senior side travelled to Lurgan on Tuesday night to take on Assistant Manager Jim Burns Lurgan side, Clann Eireann. Ronan Ward had the task of being marked by the man himself but after a shaky first half which saw the home team squander a penalty, Loughmacrory pulled comfortably away running out the 40 minute second period in ascendancy. The recent lack of competitive matches due to Tyrone and Armagh's respective county team successes told on both sides as many moves failed to have the desired impact, breaking down due to unforced errors.
Towards the end however several switches including Mark McCullagh to centre-half-back and Ryan Keenan into full-forward paid dividends as Mark began to pick-up an increased share of breaks from midfield and Ryan continued where Ronan Ward had left off, winning possession out in front and turning to beat his marker and strike a point from distance.
