GORTIN 0 -08 1 - 08 LOUGHMACRORY
Fourth consecutive league win for Reserves
The reserves recorded their fourth consecutive league win with this victory away to Gortin on Tuesday evening. Gortin were three up before Joseph McCracken opened Loughmacrory’s account with a point in the eighth minute. Two minutes later the Gortin keeper failed to hold a shot from captain Barry McElduff and as it dropped loose Barry booted it to the top corner to give his side a lead which they held till the end. Further points from Ryan Keenan, Karl Logue and Noel Kelly enabled the Lough to go in at the break leading by four on a 1 - 05 to 0 -04 scoreline.
Gortin reduced the deficit to three in the first minute of the second period but two minutes later Eoin Mullan restored the four points lead. Although Gortin had reduced the margin to two by the seventeenth minute Loughmacrory finished strongly with a pointed free from Karl Logue and a fine effort from Damien McAleer.
