LOUGHMACRORY 1 – 09 1 – 10 MOORTOWN
Loughmacrory got back to winning ways with this fairly comfortable win over Moortown in Pairc an Locha. At Moortown’s request this match war brought forward from Sunday April 18 to Friday April 16 and relocated to Loughmacrory.
Loughmacrory started brightly with Paddy McDonald grabbing their first goal just five minutes into the match. While Moortown came back fairly strongly to make a game of it was the home side who finished the stronger with Ronan Ward hammering home another major to put the result beyond doubt. Unfortunately as the game drew to a close Loughmacrory forward Brendan Kelly had to be carried off the field with a knee injury to be replaced by Raymond Ward.
