Reserves miss out in Moortown
The reserves suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Moortown this evening in Moortown. The St Malachy’s had the better of the first half exchanges and when Loughmacrory’s Stephen Donaghy, in his first outing for the reserves, was dismissed on a straight red card, Moortown went on to lead 1 - 10 to 0 - 06 at the break.
Although Carl Logue sent over a couple of frees in the second half and Paddy McDonald got in for a goal Moortown finished strongly adding a further five points and two goals to win by a convincing 12 points.
