COOKSTOWN 0 - 14 0 - 04 LOUGHMACRORY
Reserves suffer heavy defeat to Cookstown
An under strength reserve side fell heavily to Cookstown with the 6.30 Friday evening start proving impossible to make for many Loughmacrory players. In fact the game started with Loughmacrory fielding only fourteen men.
Cookstown were quick off the blocks and had registered four points before Loughmacrory scored their one and only point of the first half through a Shane McCullagh free. Cookstown proceeded to register another five unanswered points to leave the half time score 0 – 09 to 0 – 01.
In the second half Cookstown went on to lead 0-11 to 0-01 before Karl Logue pulled two back for the Lough. It was too little too late however as the town team had reached the fourteen point mark before Shane McCullagh sent over a free to bring Loughmacrory’s total to four.
